FACEBOOK FRIENDS
Facebook has a limit of how many friends one can have. Can you imagine such a thing? Well, anyway, I've reached that limit. The only way for me to continue this wonderful dialogue is to create what they call a "Fan" page. Spring 2010
Dear Friends, Readers and those who wander,
Happy Spring and Summer! Well, they tell me spring's coming although there's enough snow still piled up in my yard to have serious doubt. But, we persevere knowing eventually flowers will bloom and the gray skies of winter will give way to blue.
What's new around here? Well, RETURN TO SULLIVANS ISLAND will be released in trade paperback and in mass market on April 27th and I'm very excited to see which format readers will prefer. In fact, the marketing and sales teams at William Morrow are all curious and we all welcome your comments. I'd also love to hear what you're thinking about ebooks!
LOWCOUNTRY SUMMER, the sequel to PLANTATION, will be on sale Tuesday, June 15th. I am just crazy about this story, much of that affection due to how I feel about the characters. For me it just doesn't get much better than the feisty redneck Frances Mae going great guns against her sister-in-law, Caroline, the indomitable reigning queen of Tall Pines plantation with Millie running interference, her pockets bulging with Gullah magic. Then let's not forget Frances Mae's four hellcats – can Caroline turn them into debutantes? Will Frances Mae win back Trip's heart and reunite the family? Will Trip do the right thing? Well, all will be revealed in due time. I just hope you will enjoy the return trip to Tall Pines as much as I did. Writers don't say this very often, but I seriously loved writing this book.

Many thanks for your emails and for taking the time to read my books. I know the value of free time and heaven knows, of expendable income too. For me it's a wonderful self-indulgence to treat myself to a book by one of my favorite authors and then to steal the time to read it! I say, go for it! Get in the hammock, go to a beach or sit by the pool and escape!
