Fried Bananas

4 firm bananas
8 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
  peanut oil
  powdered sugar

Mix flour, sugar, egg and milk together. Leave to rest, covered for 1 hour at room temperature.

Peel bananas and slice lengthwise and then across into chunks about 3 inches.

Dip chunks into batter and fry in peanut oil until golden brown all over.

Drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Serves 4.
